AT&T bestätigt: Das iPhone ist im Zeitplan und wird im Juni ausgeliefert!

„Our expectations are good. Our testing has been good,“ said AT&T Chief Operating Officer Randall Stephenson. „The iPhone is on target to launch in June.“

Schwierig wird’s wahrscheinlich nur, überhaupt ein Gerät zu bekommen:

Cingular Wireless, the mobile unit of AT&T Inc., has received around a million requests from customers who wish to receive additional information on Apple Inc.’s upcoming iPhone handset when it becomes available.

Weil Stephenson nicht weiß wieviele Geräte er liefern kann im Juni:

At the same time, however, Stephenson could not say how many iPhones would immediately be available upon launch.

Aber zumindest weiß er wieviel Nachfrage besteht:

„We’re sorting through that right now,“ he said. „We got a million people waiting to buy it so we’re hoping we get a million.“
