He calls it a 3G unlock, but he doesn’t have a 3G iPhone. 99% of the massive zip is simply a custom 2G ipsw made with the devteam pwnagetool, and it causes the IPhone to run the devteam BootNeuter on first boot. Any 2G iPhone that runs BootNeuter like that will already be unlocked (by BootNeuter). And BootNeuter doesn’t (yet, if ever) run on a 3G iPhone.
