App-Icons unter iOS 7
Ende August dokumentierten Entwickler erstmals Apples explizite Aufforderung für die neuen Abmessungen der App-Icons unter iOS 7. Während iOS 6 die Größe von 114×114 px (iPhone Retina) und 144×144 px (iPad Retina) einforderte, sind ab sofort 120×120 px sowie 152 x 152 px notwendig.
Seit diesem Wochenende findet sich auch der damit einhergehende neue Radius für die Software-Symbole in der App-Store-Browseransicht.
Note that iOS 7 doesn’t apply shine or a drop shadow to the app icon. And, although iOS 7 still applies a mask that rounds the corners of an app icon, it uses a different corner radius than earlier versions of iOS.
Ebenso beachtenswert ist die veränderte Länge der App-Namen im bevorstehenden Betriebssystem-Update.
If the maximum number of characters was around 13 characters on iOS 6, this number is now around 12 characters, and you should be really safe with 11 characters (for western name and depending of your label of course).
