„The LG G6 is sleek, solid, and surprisingly sensible“

The biggest software issues in my time with the G6 have been related to apps that haven’t been designed for the wider screen. Most apps like Twitter and Facebook fill the screen just fine, but Pokémon Go, for instance, displayed graphical glitches upon opening and refused to fully load until I went into a system menu to change the app’s individual aspect ratio setting. Netflix, meanwhile, works fine but still treats the G6 as a 16:9 device, meaning that content shot in cinematic widescreen like Master of None or Mad Max Fury Road is displayed as a rectangle in the middle of the screen with borders on all four sides. The G6 isn’t out yet, of course, and LG says it’s already encouraging developers to adopt support for its aspect ratio.
