Neu im Feedbin-Abo: „Airshow“, ein Podcast-Player

Introducing Airshow. It’s a podcast player for iPhone & iPad. It syncs with the Feedbin account you already have.

The idea for the first version is simple: a podcast app that has only the features required to actually listen to and enjoy the shows you love.

There are many great podcast apps out there, so why make another one? Two reasons:

• To add value to your Feedbin subscription.
• To see if there is an opportunity to make something simpler and nicer than the existing options.

Niemand ohne Feedbin-Abo sollte diesen Player ausprobieren. Wenn ich die Software „minimalistisch“ nenne, vermutet man schon zu viele Funktionen.

Schlichter und spärlicher geht’s wirklich kaum. Und trotzdem ziehe ich meinen Hut vor diesem öffentlichen Experiment als Gegengewicht zu überladenen und komplizierten Apps, die lediglich eine MP3-Datei abspielen.

Feeds sind Feeds – egal ob für Text oder Audiodateien. Alle seine Abos über einen unabhängigen Webdienst zu synchronisieren, ist ein attraktiver Gedanke.
