„Mein Fotostream“ streamt nicht mehr
”Mein Fotostream“ ist nur noch bis zum 26. Juli 2023 verfügbar. Wenn du iCloud-Fotos bereits auf allen deinen Geräten aktiviert hast, musst du nichts weiter tun – deine Fotos wurden bereits hochgeladen und in iCloud gespeichert.
„(My) Photo Stream“ war kein Onlinespeicher, sondern eine (seinerzeit) bequeme Übertragungsmethode mit verwirrenden Einschränkungen. Bis zu gleichzeitig 1.000 Bilder wurden „vorübergehend hochgeladen“ und für 30 Tage zwischengespeichert.
So nett es damals war, nicht das Sync-Kabel herauszuholen, so limitiert war dieser erste iCloud-Dienst.
iCloud manages your Photo Stream efficiently so you don’t run out of storage space on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If you have Photo Stream enabled on your iOS device, every single photo you take appears in a special Photo Stream album that holds your last 1,000 photos. You can’t edit or delete photos from your Photo Stream. If you want to touch up a photo or keep a favorite shot permanently, simply save it to your Camera Roll. iCloud stores new photos for 30 days, so you have plenty of time to connect your iOS device to Wi-Fi and make sure you always have your most recent shots handy.

„Mein Fotostream“ streamte keine Videos und erhielt nie Support für Live Photos oder das HEIC-Bildformat. Es war zu keinem Zeitpunkt ein „Backup“, und ein Vergleich mit der iCloud-Mediathek war seit jeher falsch – obwohl ihn Apple selbst führte.
Mindestens seit 2019 verweist Apple mit diesem Hinweis auf das bevorstehende Ende von „My Photo Stream“.
Wenn du deine Apple-ID erst kürzlich erstellt hast, ist „Mein Fotostream“ womöglich nicht verfügbar. Wenn „Mein Fotostream“ nicht verfügbar ist, verwende iCloud-Fotos, um deine Fotos und Videos in iCloud aufzubewahren.
