Zumindest mit der Hauptkamera: Project Indigo knipst Fotos jetzt auf Apples neuen iPhones

Adobe ist nicht unbedingt eine hippe Entwickler-Bude. Umso faszinierender bleibt die öffentliche Entwicklervorschau auf Project Indigo. Diese ist nun – zumindest halbwegs – mit Apples neuen iPhones kompatibel.

MAJOR UPDATE: iPhone 17-series support is finally here! After some time in the workshop and a lot of grinding, sanding, welding and polishing, Indigo team is happy to announce that your brand new iPhone 17-series device can now run Indigo.

Front-facing camera is currently disabled. It will be enabled in the next app release targeting ios 26.1. Issues with very noisy captures in Photo mode in low light if ISO is high. We suggest using Night mode to capture such scenes, or lowering ISO to 500 or less. Auto Exposure may flicker in Photo mode in low-light conditions. 4x telephoto images on 17 Pro and Pro Max devices may exhibit a brighter band toward the bottom of the image.

Kein Indie-Entwickler würde sich mit einem solchen Gestochere und einem obendrein iOS-ungewöhnlichen Interface in den App Store wagen.

Genau das macht das Projekt aber wieder sympathisch.

Und die Kamera-App von Marc Levoy + Team erzielt einen tatsächlich anderen Look. Es ist keine besondere Einstellung, kein Filter oder ein spezifisches Feature: Die Fotos aus Project Indigo besitzen eine visuell andere Fotoästhetik.
