Wer braucht schon YouTube? Es gibt doch Google-Video…

Ja, auch diese Videos liegen in Flash vor und können somit nicht auf dem iPhone abgespielt werden. Aber es gibt einen Trick, der ALLE Videos von Google (nicht die die YouTube-Filme) auf dem iPhone darstellt – und der ist so leicht, da hätte man fast selbst drauf kommen können. Bin ich aber nicht daher hier der Originalwortlaut:

1. Scroll over to the right side of the page.
2. Next to the „Download“ button, activate the drop-down menu, and choose „Video iPod/Sony PSP.“

1. Click „Download“ and you will get some drop down text that says: „If the download does not start automatically, right-click this link and choose „Save As“.“
2. Click on the link it provides, and your video will start to load.
3. If it does not begin playing automatically, click the Play button on the iPod

Das musst ich natürlich sofort ausprobieren und kann bestätigen, das es einwandfrei funktioniert!

Quicktime exportiert seit der Version 7.2, die heute Morgen von der Leine gelassen wurde auch direkt ins iPhone-Format. Das kommt mir gerade recht, da ich bislang nur auf Trailer von apple.com/trailers zurückgegriffen habe und erst jetzt die heimischen DVDs (in Auszügen) in Angriff nehme.

Natürlich kann man ganz normal unter www.digg.com via iPhone seine Zeit verbringen. Eine angepasste Version findet sich seit kurzem unter digg.com/iphone.

Da hat man die Möglichkeit, die ganzen speziellen iPhone Web-Apps auszuprobieren und dann bekommt man grausames Solitaire oder Sodoku vorgesetzt. KEINE Surf-Empfehlung von meiner Seite, die Umsetzung ist als „eher mäßig“ zu betrachten.
