Consumer Reports rät auch vom Verizon-iPhone ab
Die amerikanische Stiftung Warentest ‚Consumer Reports‚ warnt seine Leserschaft, wie auch schon im letzten Jahr, vor dem iPhone 4. Diesmal stand das Telefon als Verizon Wireless CDMA-Variante ‚im Test‘. Unverändert bezieht sich die Kritik auf „the possibility of compromised performance in low-signal conditions when used without a bumper or case„. Dies bringt den wichtigen Umstand mit sich, dass auch die Verizon-Ausführung vom Apple-Telefon nicht in die ‚Liste von empfohlenen Smartphones‘ aufgenommen wird. Als ‚angeratene Alternativen‘ gelten diese fünf Mobilfunk-Vertreter, zu denen ich exemplarisch ein paar unabhängige Testberichte ergoogelt habe.

Die Review-Auswahl lässt sich beliebig erweitern und kürzen. Dies ändert jedoch in keinem Fall etwas an der Tatsache, dass das ‚Consumer-Reports‘-Fazit schlicht und ergreifend lächerlich bleibt.
Ebenso wenig fließt in den ‚Testbericht‘, den im letzten Weihnachtsgeschäft über 16 Millionen Käufer ignorierten, Support-Qualität, Software-Beständigkeit oder intuitive Benutzung ein. Für ein explizites Verbraucher-Magazin ist diese Nichtbeachtung zumindest verwunderlich.
Selbst im Netz, dem ‚Nummer One‘ Sündenpool-der-Kritik, blieben diesen Februar jegliche Klagen aus.
Dies weiß auch Consumer Reports, ignoriert es jedoch geflissentlich. Unverantwortlich oder einfach nur noch unbedeutend?
