• Post beta 4, the ramdisk hack stopped working. Sorry Zibri, guess you’ll have to steal another exploit.

• Apple doesn’t appear to upgrade the bootloader on phones in the field, probably for fear of breaks. So any old iPhones out there today, regardless of version, can be unlocked.

• The iPhone 3G uses a different bootloader, which I believe there aren’t any known exploits in yet. So no unlock.

Nach einem iPhone3G-Tag, der sich gewaschen hatte, gab’s zwischen ein paar Bierchen noch unseren allseits beliebten ‚Games und so‘-Videospielpodcast – Aufnahmezeit 21:30 bis 23:50. Am Freitagabend!

Es ist absehbar, dass wir dort auch nicht mehr um Apples Spielemaschine Mobilfunktelefon umzukommen. Zum Start des AppStores wurden jede Menge Pixel-Kracher unter die Lupe genommen und ein paar Perlen herausgepickt.

In voller epischer Breite, kann man uns unter Games und so verfolgen; einfach direkt in Episode 55 reinhören oder bequem per iTunes abonnieren.In diesem Sinn, viel Freude mit der neuen Folge.

Gerade einmal zwei Tage ist der AppStore am Netz, da fliegt hier auch schon das erste Update für eine Dritt-Applikation ins Haus. Ich weiß nicht genau, ob das NYTimes-Programm wirklich das Erste offizielle Update einer iPhone-Applikation ist, aber zumindest war es das für mich.

Die Nachrichten, die das Programm anzeigen soll, laden trotzdem (immer noch) nicht.

Neidisch schaue ich zu den TypePad-Nutzer, die bereits mit den Start des AppStores ein natives und mobiles Programm zum Publizieren von Blogartikel haben.

Aber WordPress rückt nach.
