Dass Apple diese Funktion mit der Punkt 1 direkt nachliefert, ist sicherlich das Resultat der sommerlichen Beta. Jeder lobte die „Lokale Aufnahme“ und fragte direkt im Anschluss, warum sich die Mikrofonverstärkung (der „Gain“) nicht über iOS/iPadOS einstellen lässt.

Woche für Woche lade ich Videos auf Vimeo und YouTube und jede Woche bin ich überrascht, wie unfähig deren Systeme sind, ein passendes Thumbnail vorzuschlagen.

Apples Fotomediathek versucht das gar nicht erst und verwendet weiterhin den ersten Frame für ein Vorschaubild eurer Videos. Dieses Titelbild („poster frame“) lässt sich nach wie vor nur auf macOS ändern – nicht aber auf iOS oder iPadOS.

Das ist besonders unverständlich, da die technischen Grundlagen dafür längst vorhanden sind. Bei Live Photos lässt sich ein Schlüsselfoto („Make Key Photo“) setzen und auch bei Videos kann man im Bearbeitungsmodus durch langes Drücken auf die Timeline einen exakten Frame auswählen.

Während sich neue Fotos und Bildbearbeitungen zeitnah über alle Geräte hinweg synchronisieren, zeigen sich am Mac geänderte Titelbilder für Videoclips bei mir oft erst nach Stunden – selbst wenn im Profil „Synced with iCloud Just Now“ angezeigt wird.

Microsoft is raising the price of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription again and rebranding some of its Xbox Game Pass plans. Starting today, Game Pass Ultimate will be priced at $29.99 per month instead of $19.99 — a 50 percent increase. Microsoft is attempting to justify the price hike with a variety of upgrades across all of its Xbox Game Pass tiers.

Xbox Game Pass Core is being rebranded to Xbox Game Pass Essential, and the Standard plan is now Xbox Game Pass Premium.
